Kulgam, April 04 (KNO): One more militant has been killed in an encounter that started between government forces and Militants in Man Gori area of Khul Batpora, in Damhall belt of south Kashmir's Kulgam district on Sunday morning taking the toll of total number of militants killed to four. Official sources told wire service—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), that on specific inputs about the presence of militants, Joint team of forces including 34 RR, 18 BN CRPF and Kulgam Police launched search operation in the area. On intensifying search operation towards the suspected spot, hiding militants fired which was retaliated triggering an encounter, they said "During exchange of fire four militants were killed and one army man received injuries, dead bodies are lying at the encounter spot while as their identification is being ascertained and injured army man was shifted to hospital where he is stable", they said However, sources said that slain militants are locals and belong to Damhal Hanjipora Belt in Kulgam. Notably this is first encounter in Kulgam police district after a gap of around 11 months. Meanwhile, a senior police official told—KNO that killed militants were involved in recent civilian killings in Kulgam district. Pertinently, four civilians were killed by gunmen in Kulgam district including two from Damhal Hanjipora Belt in last 15 days—(KNO)a Belt in last 15 days—(KNO)
